Three steamboats named Music were in operation on the Mississippi between 1843 and the Civil War. Two were built for Ferdinand M. Shreck who acted as their Master. This was the first "Music" of that name of 198 tons built at Jeffersonville Ind. in 1843. This "Music" was sold to Capt.
