Excellent strike of oval handstamp on cover to Yreka with matching boxed "Paid" handstamp, docketed "May 12, 1862", reduced at right, Very Fine, according to the Nathan book, Charles W. Prindle operated this express from Yreka to the Scott and Klamath River Mines from 1860 to 1862, connecting with Wells, Fargo at Yreka and sharing an office with them there, illustrated in Nathan, ex-Pearce, Haas.
