Postage Due, 1894, 2¢ vermilion. Two singles, blue crayon precancels, used on hotel corner card cover with "Rochester N.Y. Nov. 13 2AM 94" receiving datestamp on back, 1893 2¢ Columbian (231) with cork cancel and "? Mont. 6PM 6 Nov 1894" circular datestamp, slightly reduced at top and small opening tear, still Fine, a rare use of 2¢ Vermilion 1894 Unwatermarked Bureau Issue -- the 1¢ J29 earliest documented use on cover is Nov. 14, 1894, which probably makes this 2¢ Nov. 10 date very early, if not the earliest, use of the 2¢ J30. Scott No. J30  Estimate $400 - 600. $0 (Image)
