Banning" at lower left; minor light stains, Very Fine, an important Los Angeles cover and the only example known to us, pictured in Letters of Gold. Estimate  $1,000 - 1,500. Phinneas Banning was a very successful freight and stage operator. Accompanying this lot is a contemporary advertisement that he ran the US Mail Stage line as well a freight.
