Two-line date stamp (type IIIa) and manuscript "25" rate on 1821 folded letter to Sutton, N.C., interesting letter regarding the health of the citizens…a Person of you Profession (Doctor) here would stave to death if they had to depend on their Practice for a living. It is the heathiest place I ever lived in…there is about 3500 inhabitants here at this time and I can assure you that I know of no person in town that is sick except two or three that came from New Orleans here sick.; cover toning and tiny edge tear at bottom, Fine, a rare pre-territorial usage during American Military Government Period; signed E.N.
