(1855-1857). 46 covers from this successor to Adams & Co.'s Express beginning with nine stampless covers (one folded company business letter and one cover with extraneous stamp copy affixed), two with "Paid" handstamps and two with pony and rider printed franks (one blue), then five covers (two legal size) with 1851 3¢ (one uncancelled, one with crossed lines precancel, one with conjunctive Wells Fargo handstamp as cancel; one cover with stamp peeled off), two with "Paid" handstamps, then 15 1853 3¢ or 6¢ Nesbitt entires, four with "Paid" handstamps or handstamped franks, two eastbound uses, and finally 17 1853 3¢ Nesbitt entires with pony and rider printed franks (one blue and three black with "LR" manuscript initials), one is an underpaid eastbound use, company handstamps from Columbia, Grass Valley, Jackson, Mokulumne Hill, Murphy's, New York, Placerville, Rough & Ready, San Jose, Shasta, Sonora, Watsonville, and others, minor duplication and mixed condition, Fine overall.
