No. 1, 4 Mai 72" French packet datestamp, black "5" decimes rating handstamp for inland postage due for up to 10 grams, Paris (5.7) arrival backstamp; some extra gum around stamp, a Very Fine use, ex-Kirke, Richards. Weiss No. RE-L4  Estimate $2,000 - 3,000. ONE OF ONLY THREE RECORDED USAGES OF THIS EXCEPTIONAL NYFM CANCEL. The recorded period of use is April 30 to May 14, 1872.
