Prepaid the 11 cent North German Union Closed Mail rate of August 1872 using 1873, 1¢ ultramarine + 10¢ brown. Reverse bears Turkish exchange office stamp for March 29th. The "Wfr." handstamp indicates that the letter was taken off at Southampton and routed through Aachen.
