Prepaid the 15 cent NGU closed mail rate of January 1868 using 1869, 2¢ brown + 3¢ ultramarine + 10¢ yellowish orange slightly overlapping. The bag was dropped off at Southampton and routed via Ostend and sorted on May 3rd at the Verviers, Belgium exchange office for onward routing by rail 200 miles N.E. to Quakenbruck.
