Gov. Jones, red fancy circular handstamp on blue folded letter datelined "New Orleans 12 May 1846" and addressed to Nashville Tenn., Illustrated in Milgram on page 312. Milgram No. 539  Estimate $500 - 750. The "Gov. Jones" of 396 tons was built at New Albany, Indiana in 1844. It does not appear in the New Orleans enrollment register, so its home port is not known.
