In double lined printed rectangle on 1864 3¢ pink entire to Quincy, Cal., from one of the surrounding mining camps, original letter (not now with cover) is noted as March 25, 1865; stain at lower left, otherwise Very Fine, a unique usage from this express. Estimate  $2,500 - 3,500. Though in business for several years he apparently didn't used franked covers except in the beginning and then didn't cancel them.
