Ornate typeset frank on 1864 3¢ pink entire with rare "Moore's Flat Express Oct 3" blue oval datestamp at left, to San Francisco street address, exchanged with "Wells Fargo & Co. / Nevada Oct 5" blue oval handstamp (Leutzinger type 11-9), 1868 docket confirms Moore's Flat origin, small repair at lower left, F.-V.F., a very rare Company Frank & Express marking. Estimate  $300 - 400. Cover illustrated in Nathan's "Franks of Western Expresses" (page 65) and Coburn's "Letters of Gold" (page 183). One of a series of similar L. H.
