Prices current posted at New Orleans March 27th 1854 and receiving that offices "PAID / 50", the rate that would have covered a bundle of 10 sent at the 5 cents printed matter rate by British open mail to France. Addressed to Paris reverse bears London transit of April 18th. At the Calais exchange office the bundle was initially rated "8" Decimes, this was then uprated to "20" and finally at Paris to "116".
