Collins Line Maiden Voyage "Arctic", New York - Liverpool 27th October - 7th November 1850. Wrapper file noted "New York 26 Oct 1850" addressed to London and endorsed "Arctic". Received the "NEW YORK / 21 / OCT / 26" departure stamp giving 21 Cents credit to the US. On arrival at Liverpool the manuscript "1" for the 1 Shilling packet rate was applied. Reverse bears London arrival stamp for 7th November. Atlantic transit of 11 days, Very Fine. Estimate  $150 - 200. The "Arctic", one of four sister vessels of 2,856 gross tons was built by William H.
