Brown's Express. Blue double-line oval handstamp with matching "$1.50cts" handstamp on cover to Sacramento, originating from Connecticut with manuscript "North Haven, Ct. Dec 5" pmk & "10" rate, edge wear and light stains, Fine, a very rare Express rate handstamp. Estimate  $750 - 1,000. Brown's Express between Stockton and the Southern Mines was started in 1850 by William A.
