Hardy's Office, Oakland, Paid, scroll frank (BAM-004) on fresh 1864, 3¢ pink entire to San Francisco, clear sharp strike of small blue "Bamber & Co., Oakland, Aug 22, 1867" cds blue handstamp (BAM-103), Extremely Fine, it is rare to find such a complete example of the small Oakland handstamp. Estimate $400 - 600. Bamber carried from Oakland into the business district of San Francisco. Bamber would normally turn over to Wells Fargo in S.F. but had an arrangement that allowed them to carry into the business district. $0 (Image)
