Grill, Illegal Bisects Used To Defraud, two diagonal bisect halves from different stamps used as 3¢ stamp (fraudulent reuse) cancelled together by circular grid, bottom half with normal grill and small piece out, top half with points up grill caused by fold-over and tied by "Grundy Centre Ioa. May 12" cds on cover to Concord Mich.; reduced slightly at left, F.-V.F., this is the basis for the Scott listing but left unpriced.; with 2006 P.F. certificate. Scott No. 88b  Estimate $1,000 - 1,500. THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF TWO BISECTED 3¢ 1867 GRILLED STAMPS USED AS A 3¢ STAMP, ONE HAVING GRILL POINTS UP.
