Pkt. Sep 17" backstamp with "35" due h.s. and "In U.S. Notes" with "44" cents depreciated currency marking, Very Fine. Estimate  $300 - 400. Swiss debited Prussia 3 kreuzer (10 rappen) for internal postage and sent letter to Baden. The SCHWEIZ/über/BADEN marking was applied on the Baden railroad to show letter transited Baden from Switzerland. Prussians debited U.S. 10¢ (in Aachen datestamp) and placed in the Prussian Closed Mails. Boston marked 35¢ due if paid in coin or 44¢ in depreciated greenback notes. Both 3 and 5 silbergroschen markings in blue ink appear to be in error as the Prussian transit fee was 2 sgr. and 2 sgr. was owed to Switzerland. $0 (Image)
