1862 (Nov. 24) Cambria, Wisc. to St. Asaph, Wales, envelope with patriotic design and "Cambria Wis. Nov 24" cds, Chicago blue "21 Cents" debit to G.B. exchange marking, carried by Allan Line Anglo-Saxon from Quebec Nov. 29 to Londonderry arriving Dec. 10, black "1/-" shilling due rating, St. Asaph (12.12) arrival cds; some repaired edge faults and flap added, a Very Fine appearing patriotic use to Wales with a rare Chicago debit marking. Estimate  $300 - 400. Letter carried by rail on the Milwaukee & LaCrosse Railroad to Chicago, where the unusual blue 21/CENTS debit marking was applied. The letter was placed in a closed mail bag for G.B. From Chicago it was carried on the Michigan Central Railroad to Detroit and Canadian Grand Trunk Railroad to Quebec, where it went on board the Allan Line steamer. $0 (Image)
