Pkt. 'Paid 30' Jun 12", large "Dead Letter Office P.O. Dept. Aug 27" oval backstamp, original newspaper article discussing cover's unknown delay due to D.L.O., Fine and unusual use. For unknown reason Boston sent letter to Dead Letter Office in Washington, D.C., delaying delivery in San Francisco for 2 months.
