1860, 24¢ gray lilac, o.g., never hinged, remarkable centering amid wide margins with perfs clear of design at top and bottom, uncommonly deep rich color and crisp impression on bright paper, Extremely Fine and choice, in the P.S.E. Population Report, only six never hinged examples have ever been graded, with this being the highest award grade, the next highest being an 85 (two examples).; with 2013 P.S.E. Graded certificate (XF 90). Scott No. 37  $1,400 for hinged.
