Jun 30" exchange backstamp and magenta "12" credit rating, carried by Vanderbilt Line Illinois from New York Jun. 30th to Southampton arriving Jul. 13th, red London Paid (7.14) transit cds, "Ship Letter, Sydney, SP13 1860" rimless arrival backstamp; some 10¢ strip affected by edge placement including right stamp faulty, still Very Fine appearing, a scarce 1857 issue use to New South Wales. Estimate  $750 - 1,000. Prepaid for the 33¢ British Mail rate via Southampton effective January 1, 1857 to December 31, 1867.
