Cat No:43 var.
1857-60 (1875 Reprint), 10¢ Blue Green, Imperforate, without gum as issued, clear to large margins, strong color, Very Fine, only a few single examples and a pair of this imperforate variety are known; with 2006 P.F. certificate. Scott No. 43 var. Estimate $3,000 - 4,000. AN EXTREMELY RARE IMPERFORATE VARIETY OF THE 1857-60 10¢ REPRINT ISSUE. A footnote is the only reference made by the Scott catalog regarding this issue. It states that the issue exist imperforate and that very infrequent sales preclude establishing a value at this time. They do mention the famous Dale-Lichtenstein margin pair set that sold for $110,000 in a 2009 auction sale. Also a strip of three of 12¢ issue imperforate is also recorded. $0 (Image)
