Apr 30" exchange credit cds, carried by Collins Line Arctic from New York Apr. 30 to Liverpool arriving May 11, Aachen "Franco" h.s., pencil "31" due rating, Very Fine. Estimate  $200 - 300. 30¢ payment in Boston crossed through in magenta ink at Thurn & Taxis post office in Frankfurt for reasons unknown. In Württemberg, letter marked for 31 kreuzer postage due (one kreuzer local fee plus 30 kreuzer), even though Aachen marked large FRANCO.
