1851, 3¢ orange brown, type II, Unofficially Rouletted, rich color, with margins clearly showing roulette nibs, tied on cover to New Glascow, Va. by bold blue socked-on-the-nose "University of Va., Sep 30" cds; cover with some light toning, otherwise Extremely Fine, a Unique Experimental Roulette and one of the earliest attempts of mechanical separation of stamps in the United States; with 2010 P.F. certificate.
