(Vicksburg to Greenwood Route 7312) Vicksburg and Yazoo River Packet Dew Drop, oval handstamp on cover from the Carroll Hoy correspondence to New Orleans La. on the course of Route 7312 circa 1859; typical filing hole, flap tear, Very Fine. Milgram No. 339  Estimate $150 - 200. From October 1858 to May 1861, Leathers and Holmes were contracted for Route 7312 Vicksburg to Greenwood at $14,875 a year for three times a week service. In September 1865 after the Civil War, this route was contracted as 7202 to S.E. Ogden at $2,900 a year for three times a week service.The "Dew Drop" of 184 tons was built in 1858 for Capt.
