Applied at San Francisco and canceled by target handstamp with matching "San Francisco, Cal., Feb 18" cds tying on 1864, 3¢ pink entire to South Glen Falls, N.Y., in combination with manuscript canceled Hawaii 1864-66, 2¢ rose vermilion + 5¢ blue (Sc. #31+32) tied by target handstamps, red "Honolulu, U.S. Postage Paid, Jan 22" cds; cover with a few small edge tears not mentioned on certificate, Very Fine, a remarkable fifth sub-period usage with 2¢ Blackjack added to paid the 2¢ ship fee, the only cover recorded with this Blackjack usage; with 2001 P.F. certificate. Scott No. 73+U58  Estimate $10,000 - 15,000. This cover was carried aboard the Hesperian, leaving Honolulu on January 23, 1867 and arriving on February 15 in San Francisco. The 2¢ Blackjack was applied to make 3¢ postage plus 2¢ ship fee, however this fee was already paid by the 2¢ Hawaiian stamp. $0 (Image)
