(Turkey) 1863, 2¢ black. In combination with 1861, 3¢ rose, two singles + 10¢ green, horizontal pair on cover to Constantinople, Turkey, all tied by fancy geometric grid cancels, red "N. York Br. Pkt., 7 Paid, Feb 6" exchange cds and blue boxed Aachen transit date stamp with matching instructional box handstamp, reverse with Vienna transit and Austrian office receiving backstamps; 10¢ pair with small unnoticeable faults and cover with small piece above 10¢ pair neatly patched, Very Fine and attractive, a striking combination paying the 34¢ Prussian closed mail rate to Constantinople, ex Rorke (where this cover sold for $11,000 + 10% buyers premium in 1988); with 2009 P.F. certificate.
