(Shades) 3¢ Copper Brown, Type II, position 82L2E, large margins except bottom cut into outer frameline only, beautiful deep distinctive color, tied by sharp strike of "New-York Sep 18" cds on 1851 folded letter to Springfield, Mass., Very Fine. Scott No. 10A  $1,250. The "copper brown" shade is a rich and deep color with a heavily inked impression.
