(Route 8151) Sea Shore Line Steamer Camelia, oval handstamp on 3¢ pink entire (U58) backstamped "Hugh Allison & Co. of New Orleans addressed to Bay St. Louis, Miss., carried on Route 8151 to Shieldsboro entering the mails with "Shieldsboro Miss. Jun 30" cds; light toning, F.-V.F. Milgram No. 168  Estimate $200 - 300. From 1850 contracts provided a service between New Orleans and Mobile calling at offices on the Mississippi Sound. In August 1865, Charles Morgan contracted for Route 8151 for a daily service each way at $15,000 a year. The contract was renewed as Route 8009 from July 1866 to June 1867. $0 (Image)
