Milgram No. 1176  Estimate $200 - 300. John W. Cannon was one of the more famous Mississippi steamboat owners, he raced his Robert E. Lee against Thomas Leathers Natchez from New Orleans to St. Louis on a number of occasions. Although Cannon did not hold a contract until 1875, he was running as a sub-contractor to A.S.
