(Revolutionary War) 1781 (c., Dec. 6) London, England to New York N.Y., folded letter from John Drummond to Daniel Goddard with London "6/DE" bishop mark backstamp and manuscript "2N" shilling rating, probably carried by Falmouth packet Sandwich departing Jan. 15th 1782 to New York arriving Mar. 5th, with news "We have heard by way of France of the Surrender of Lord Cornwallis", signed on address leaf John Drummond, silked on inside due to fold separations, accompanied by additional Revolutionary War letter datelined "London Jun 27. 1775" t0 America with additional manuscript "Exd" and referring to the war as our "civil war", some fold separation, Fine, An interesting pair of Revolutionary war items.
