Carter at Fort Bridger, Utah Territory (now Wyoming), entire with "Pony Express, Collect 2" ($2 Pony Express fee) endorsement at top and pen strokes cancelling the indicia, entire professionally mended along top edge with manuscript "Pony Express" drawn in & indicia replaced, handsome Very Fine appearance. EstimateĀ  $5,000 - 7,500. Cover illustrated in Frajola-Kramer-Walske's "The Pony Express: A Postal History" (page 140).
