(Norton Patent) New-York JA 30 (1862), clear strike of duplex showing "821" as year date since dial wasn't properly set for "62", duplexed with circular grid tying 1¢ blue (63) and 3¢ rose (65) on cover to Oak Field N.Y. prepaid for the 3¢ letter rate plus 1¢ carrier fee; reduced slightly at right with some wear, Very Fine, a rare use of the Norton patent on the 1861 issue, ex-Richard B. Graham. Estimate  $200 - 300. This is a late strike use of the Norton lazy year patent duplex device that is known used approximately from Jan. 22nd to Mar. 28th 1861. $0 (Image)
