Free frank, included are original contents which states in part "I am almost oppressively overcome with orders -- work work work -- & still the mountain before me increases -- but gold lies beyond? & don't I need some?", backflap with fancy red Masonic handstamp (reattached), fresh and Very Fine, a lovely example of one the most celebrated 19th century fancy postmarks.
