Dateline on folded letter to the postmaster at Batavia, N.Y., entered the mails with manuscript "St. Marys, Jany 10" postmark and "Free" franking, brown "Washn. City, Jan 21" cds with matching straight line "Free" handstamp, letter mentioning the recent island occupation and capture of a Spanish slave schooner…A few days after we took possession of this place a patriot Privateer came in with a Spanish Slave schnoor, her prize, in compy - we made prize of them both; minor edge wear, Very Fine.
