(El Dorado) Hulfish, Cal., August 9, 1901, bold cds (ELD-1900, R4) and target handstamp on 1899 2¢ carmine entire to Auburn, Extremely Fine, Hulfish's Post Office was established between 1901 and 1904 and Frank Newton, who collected El Dorado County for a great many years considered this mark to be very rare, the only example recorded from this location.
