Come and Get Your Property., red and blue battlefield design on cover to Akron, O., franked with 1861, 3¢ rose (s.e. at right) tied by "Cleveland, O., Sep 23, 1861" cds and grid handstamp canceling; slight cover reduction at right, otherwise Very Fine. Scott No. 65  Estimate $100 - 150. Before the Emancipation Proclamation, it was not possible to legally seize slaves from their owner in areas of the Confederacy occupied by Union armies.
