A very strong Washington-Franklin selection is complemented by commemorative sets including Pan – Am, Louisiana Purchase, Jamestown Expo, and Pan – Pacific. There are also a White Plaines Sheet, Kansas – Nebraska sets, airmails including Scott #s 1-6, 13, 15, and 18. For the back of the book lovers the postage dues have mint issues not often encountered, also a wonderful complete Shanghai set, and a sprinkling of mint officials. There is also postage included. An impressive old-time mint and used 19th and 20th century collection/accumulation. Includes a serious core collection on Scott pages. Other particles are a small batch of medium to better on sales and auction pages, some cheap mint and used sorted in glassines, and to no one’s surprise, postage in different shapes and sizes. We note in the postage there seems to be a bit of moisture exposure however, not enough to kill the deal. There is a slight ocean side aroma. Condition is mixed, yet most are better centered than normally encountered in a collection assembled years ago. Careful viewing with an aggressive attitude will place you into a competitive position. Classics well represented, including some nice cancels #71, 75 and 78. 1869 issue used complete, Washington Franklins in singles and pairs, with some dollar values. Second and Third Bureau Issues, and MNH #630. BOB also shows up, #C1-C6 MNH, rest of the airs are here except the zeps. Ducks from #RW1 to RW78, Special Delivery used, Shanghai #K1-K16, plus K17 and K18. The #K8 has APS cert as one of a block of four. Nice PR3, PR4, JQ- and J- complete. Twenty-eight copies of Scott # 76 good for cancels with both shades represented. In addition to the San Francisco cog-wheel cancelation there are other desirable ones such as leaf, cross roads, and circle of wedges. Some faults and some are almost very fine. Wonderful collection to 1964. The classics have better items; however, condition is mixed. An increase in quality items begins with banknotes and bureaus and makes this material able to improve most collections. The commemoratives are strong with Columbians going to the two dollar. Old timers collection that is used turning to mint around 1920. Early items have mixed condition. There are a number of stamps with grills, a good selection of banknotes, some Columbians are mint, other early commemoratives are mint and used. Thousands of mixed mint and used stamps in full, partial sets, singles, souvenir sheets, full sheets, booklets, and booklet panes in Scott specialty albums. Highlights include mint White Plains sheet and used C13-15. Value is in the approximately $2,000 face going to Forevers. Likewise entails roughly $800 face Federal Duck stamps to $25.00. Additionally incorporates Trust Territories to 1990 having Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Palau as well as Canal Zone, Philippines, and Hawaii. United States collection/accumulation from the late 19th Century to 2000 in two cartons. Most of the value is in the roughly $1,500 face of which 75% comprises twenty-nine to forty-one cent sheets and booklets. The remaining 20% are in a few sheets, singles, and scrap in the collection and on stock pages. The collection is in binders and on album pages from a well-known East Coast promotional company consisting of hundreds and hundreds of mixed mint and used stamps. Columbians to the ten cent and Trans Mississippi to ten cent are present. There is also a White Plaines sheet and Parks that will help in developing a top shelf collection. Recent Postal Service products are in their original wrapping and there are over twenty mint sheets. The Harris Liberty album has some earlies and there are stockbooks. United States assortment in five cartons. Incorporates collector’s low end leftover material from the usual time frames in albums, stockbook, album pages, stock pages etc. having plenty of backup. One carton is mostly covers and postal stationery while another carton consists of about 2,000 first flight covers from the 1960s to the 1980s. Need to find a new home soon. (Image)

A beautiful collection of Farley issues with almost all being Parks in one carton. Beginning with two sets of plate blocks each for the perforated and imperforated and continuing with a set of twelve stamp arrow blocks minus the nine cent. A set of large die proofs adds to the possibility of a competitive National Parks issue exhibit. A set of covers are included with an additional cover having James Farley’s autograph. About ten collections combine to make this a decent representation of stamps. Mixed condition on the earlies as expected, however, still many desirable items. Numerous banknotes and Washington Franklin’s populate this material. Strong back of the book, better plate blocks and Kansas Nebraska sets add to the value. The revenues have much more than the first issue, such as documentary, stock transfer, wine, telegraph and state revenues.
