1863, on July 18th a letter to Norfork/VA was handed over to the post office of Philadelphia. That cover became a unique postal history item of the CIVIL WAR. The address converts the cover into a historic treasure of the US Navy. It was meant for the chief of the US blockade fleet which operated off the Confederate States' coast. The address is: Captain A.L. Cadel, Fleet Captain, Flagship Minnesota, Norfork Va. 2013 Inverted Jenny limited edition souvenir set in a red box, complete as issued with rare proof items, Includes the issued souvenir sheet, another with a first day cancel, a proof sheet of 6 with vignette only, another proof sheet without the background design, another proof with the carmine frame only, albino stamps with background design and finally a die wipe sheet as well as a 48-page book on the issue, numbered USPS certificate of authenticity #1711/1900, very few of these were sold at the issue price of $200 before the USPS ended the sale program, making the actual quantity available to collectors unknown.
