1874 Havre, France To New York, N.Y. Unpair folded letter with "Fr/2f" tombstone handstamp per 30 grams bulk rate marking applied in Paris, handstamped rocking horse G.B. debit of "26 cents" to the U.S. applied in London for a letter weighing between 10 grams and a half ounce (double 10¢ French and 4¢ British inland and sea, plus 2¢ probably in error). 2¢ U.S. inland added to the debit resulting in 28¢ due in coin, or 31¢ in notes as noted by the "New York, Feb 27" depreciated currency cds., Very Fine. Estimate  $100 - 150. Sent via Cunard Line - per steamer Cuba, departing Liverpool on February 14th, Queenstown on February 15th and arriving in New York on February 27th. $0 (Image)
