Folded "Le Ballon Poste, No. 10 - 4 Decembre 1870" journal franked with France 1867, 30c brown + 1870, 40c orange tied by dotted star cancels paying the 7 decimes per 10 grams via G.B. rate (January 1, 1870 to June 30, 1871), red London transit with "2 Cents" credit handstamp and New York entry cds; 30c with small corner nick at bottom left, otherwise Very Fine, a rare Ballon Monte Usage to the United States, Sent on the Balloon Ville De Paris. Scott No. 34+59  Estimate $2,000 - 3,000.
