Folded letter sheet franked with 1869, 2¢ brown, horizontal pair + 6¢ ultramarine canceled by cork handstamps overpaying the 4¢ per half ounce (15 grams) British open mail rate (paid only to the UK), "New Orleans, La., Feb 12" origin cds alongside, red "New York, Feb 16" exchange cds and "10" decimes due handstamp, Very Fine and choice, a rare combination, it's possible the intent of the 10¢ prepayment was for direct route (10¢ per half ounce) per the steamer Ville de Paris of the French Line, departing New York on February 19, 1870.
