Printed circular headed New York, January 14 "Per ASIA", franked with 1861, 1¢ blue, two singles tied by "New York, Jan 15" cds, probably sent to Paris with address label removed, rate was 1 cent per ounce for periodicals, catalogs, or pamphlets, and domestic rates on all other printed matter in the U.S., and 15 centimes per 40 grams (about 1 1/3 ounces) due the addressee; left stamp with corner scissor separated at bottom left, F.-V.F.
