1858, 5¢ brick red, type I, vertical strip of three. Intense color, tied by "New Orleans La., Mar. 23, 1859" cds on folded letter sheet to Nantes, France, red "New York, Paid 3, Apr 2" credit cds also ties strip as does an ultramarine Havre transit and small red boxed "P.D." handstamp; strip with some gum stains, otherwise Very Fine, a scarce multiple of the 5¢ Brick Red on an American Packet cover to France.
