Margins large to into design at bottom, tied by "Washington D.C., Jul 20, 1857" cds's on folded letter sheet to Mexico City, Mexico, manuscript "Returned for postage, due 10cts" endorsement cross out at bottom and additional 1855, 10¢ green, type II single canceled at left, light oval Vera Cruz entry date stamp and "12" inland rate handstamp, Very Fine, a rare quadruple rate usage to Mexico; with 1996 P.F. certificate.
