Collection of Early Mint and Used Turkey, includes a collection of the Crescent stamps of the Ottoman Empire (Scott 53-77) on 6 pages, with 70 stamps including better such as #s 73 (used, c.v. $425), three bisected issues, an unsevered bisect, 77 (used, $150) and others, including postmark interest, as well as a 2010 specialized Isfila catalogue on the issue. Also includes several mint blocks and multiples of the Crescent issue and preceding Crescent and Star issue, as well as three stock pages with the 1911 stamps overprinted Monastir, Pristina, Salonique and Uskub. Last but not least is a money letter mailed from Simbirsk Russia in 1878 to the monks in Mount Athos in Greece, carried via Odessa, with a write-up (both sides of cover are scanned.
