1853 (Sep 9) entire, written in French and datelined "Trinité", sent to France with 1851-55 (1d) blue, fine to large margins, tied by indistinct black obliterators and unusually by "COLONIES & c.ART 13" hs, endorsed "par Langleterre" with French 30 decimes accountancy hs and French entry cds adjacent, reverse with despatch, London transit and Paris arrival, very fine and fresh cover (not recorded by Peter Ford in "Early BWI Covers / Perkins Bacon Adhesives). 1862-63, 6d deep green on thicker paper, compound perf. 12x11½x11½x11, used example of rich colour, lightly cancelled by "1" numeral obliterator in black, trimmed from the sheet, a very fine example of this extremely rare stamp of which only four examples are recorded, all in used condition, making it one of the rarest stamps of the British West Indies; cert.
