1843 (Sep 4) entire from Port of Spain to "Ile Bourbon" (Réunion), with double arc despatch on reverse, rated 2s1d and sent via London with "PAID" tombstone ds and Ship Letter crown oval ds, thence to Mauritius with double circle ds and "M & I" hs, and finally St. Denis arrival a little more than five months later, remarkably fresh for such a well travelled cover. 1851 (Dec 27) wrapper to Barbados with 1851-55 (1d) purple-brown, just about touching at top right, corner crease, tied by indistinct "1" numerals, charged "4"d on arrival, arrival bs, a scarce inter-island cover. (Image)

1851-55 (1d) purple-brown and (1d) blue in matching mint blocks of 28, the blue block with some small surface abrasions otherwise very fine and fresh, an attractive pair (S.G. £1'232+).

1852-54, group of eight covers with (1d) frankings in blue (2) or grey (2), brick red, or brownish-grey, four sent to Greenock (Scotland), one to London, one to France, one to St. Lucia (fault on stamp) and one to Barbados (filing crease through stamp), stamps with mixed margins and all tied by "1" numerals (2 diff. types), a useful group.

1851-55, 1854-57 and 1859 Britannia imperf. issues mint and used balance, written up on 19 exhibit pages and ordered chronologically by the consignment date for each colour and shade, with some mint and used multiples, noted left marginal proof in black on card, 1851-55 (1d) brownish red mint single and used strip of three, (1d) brownish grey mint block of four, 1854-57 (1d) dark grey mint block of 12, etc., cancellation interest incl. smaller town/village numerals, nearly all four margins and mostly fine to very fine, an attractive lot (116). 1852 (Jul 17) entire from Arima to Port of Spain with 1851-55 (1d) blue, with close to good margins but repaired top right corner, tied by crisp "7" type 0.1a numeral, reverse Trinidad double arc cds and "3" type0.1a numeral of St. Joseph's, some minor soiling and heavy cover crease at foot, thought to be the only example on cover of the "7" type 0.1a cancel. 1853 (Sep 9) entire, written in French and datelined "Trinité", sent to France with 1851-55 (1d) blue, fine to large margins, tied by indistinct black obliterators and unusually by "COLONIES & c.ART 13" hs, endorsed "par Langleterre" with French 30 decimes accountancy hs and French entry cds adjacent, reverse with despatch, London transit and Paris arrival, very fine and fresh cover, not recorded by Peter Ford in "Early BWI Covers / Perkins Bacon Adhesives who records only two S.G. 4 frankings to France with this example being the only one of the three with four margins.
