Tonga 1943 matching regd covers (philatelic) x 2 to the same Ashburton NZ addess: (a) with ½d (damaged), 1d, 2d, 3d, 1/- Pictorials, (b) with ½d, 6d & pair 2½d Pictorials (all FU); both covers canc Vavau/Tonga cds 22 MY 43. With consecutive printed Vavau regn labels (Nos. 2598, 2599). Both with 2 filing punch holes at bottom, & (b) with vert fold (not through stamps) & missing flap. Good appearance. Sent by Captain H.E.H. Fulton of NZ Army Medical Corps to his family. Unusual.
